We have a varied and exciting opportunity for an engaging and enthusiastic account director (AD) with B2B agency experience and ideally with some experience of the healthcare and/or health tech landscape. We are looking for an individual to create and execute bold and innovative account strategies and grow client revenues. The AD will take the lead with clients, providing insightful and creatively led expertise across marketing communications, PR and social media campaigns, connecting customers with brands and engaging and building advocacy at all times. Critical to the role is the ability to lead, manage and develop capable and resilient account teams with the determination and energy to excel.
Specific responsibilities include:
Creating and executing client account strategies – demonstrating deep understanding and insight into clients’ strategic goals and exceeding expectations.
Taking the lead with clients from day one, delivering innovative marketing communications, PR and other content and media campaigns.
Maximising revenues from existing client accounts.
Supporting client proposal development and presentations.
Engaging effectively with internal stakeholders, including content and design leads, working collaboratively across the organisation.
Leading, managing and developing account teams.
Strong candidates will have:
Previous experience and/or strong interest in health tech/healthcare sectors or close equivalent.
Experience of executing strategic marketing communications and PR plans.
Success in building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering projects to the highest standard, on time and to budget.
Strong understanding of digital marketing across social, content, PR, media and campaign led marketing projects within a B2B environment.
Experience of leading and developing capable and resilient teams and individuals; setting direction, strengthening capability and coaching for performance.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to spot business development opportunities and network effectively to grow existing client revenues and work on new business opportunities.

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for delivering HM’s portfolio of services to clients, providing insightful and creatively led expertise across marketing communications, PR and social media campaigns, connecting customers with brands and engaging and building advocacy at all times. You will have experience of working in an agency environment, able to balance the achievement of client outcomes with commercial matters. You will welcome collaboration with other team members as well as working across a broad range of client accounts. Interpersonally, you will have the self-awareness to engage and influence effectively at all levels of seniority.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing creative account strategies and campaign plans in response to client briefs with evidence of ‘thinking outside the box’.
Identifying opportunities to offer advice and services based on insightful analysis of client issues
Proactively delivering high quality coverage for PR campaigns and results for social media campaigns
Supporting other client teams as appropriate, for example client coverage, research work, social media actions, website updates, proofing and so on.
Identifying new opportunities within the client base.
Building and nurturing effective working relationships with journalists, industry influencers and organisations as well as developing new contacts where appropriate.
Contributing to the production of new business proposals/pitches and participate in presentations as necessary.
Supporting growth of the HM brand and portfolio of services and the development of the HM website
Experience, skills and competencies you will have:
Experience of B2B and working in an agency environment
Knowledge of and interest in the healthcare and health tech sectors; you are up to date with key developments in the sectors
Relationship management; you are interpersonally strong and can build reciprocal relationships
Effective presentation / public speaking; you are confident, engaging, and self-aware
Ability to think strategically and tactically
Project management; you are highly organized, flexible and responsive and can manage multiple projects

Strong knowledge of both traditional and digital media landscapes.
Strong written communication across a variety of materials, for example, website copy, client quotes, blogs, news releases, opinion articles, case studies, proposals
