Highland Marketing has been appointed by Patientrack to provide an integrated marketing campaign to help drive the company forward in its mission to support hospitals improve patient safety.
Patientrack’s pioneering solutions for the early identification of deteriorating patients, and for assessments and screenings, support a wide range of patient safety initiatives, including; NICE 50, CQUIN, Harmfreecare, 1000 Lives Plus, and the Scottish Patient Safety Programme. Developed in conjunction with doctors and nurses, Patientrack’s effectiveness in delivering both patient safety and cost improvements has been confirmed in a peer-reviewed clinical trial.
A critical element of the new campaign will be to help Patientrack raise awareness of the value of tools that ensure vital signs recording is robust, and protocols such as Early Warning Scores are implemented consistently and sustainably, and which allow clinicians to be alerted automatically when intervention is needed.
Donald Kennedy, managing director of Patientrack, says, “Our mission is to help hospitals to deliver safer care. Our award-winning products have been developed in conjunction with health professionals and are used by doctors and nurses directly on the ward to help deliver improved patient outcomes. They allow hospitals to reap the clinical and financial benefits of safer care.
We use simple effective IT, such as touch-screen mobile technology, to create an ‘always on’ active safety and communication system, as well as making good use of existing IT investments.
Our aim is to deliver those same benefits across more hospitals so we need an agency that can quickly generate impact and awareness. We believe Highland Marketing can achieve this because of its strong understanding of the healthcare market and broad capabilities as a full-service agency. This, backed by its track record in successfully delivering similar campaigns for other healthcare companies, has convinced us.”
Having been selected, Highland Marketing will deliver a full spectrum of marketing services, including the development of a new web presence, PR and social media. These will help position Patientrack as an ‘industry expert’ and ‘thought leader’ in patient safety issues.
Mark Venables, CEO, Highland Marketing said: “Patient safety is a key issue for all healthcare providers and should be an ongoing focus for all hospital boards. Recent high-profile cases demonstrate the distress caused to patients and their families by avoidable harm and the importance of creating an environment where this is minimised. Meanwhile hospitals are under pressure to deliver more with less and need to take advantage of the fact that safer care can deliver more cost-effective care. Patientrack has already had a significant impact in a number of hospitals and we believe it can make a tremendous difference to patient safety and the quality of healthcare in the UK and beyond.”
